Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna has announced that the Linda Mwananchi rally in Nakuru will be held on Sunday, April 19, at Mazembe Grounds.

Sifuna said the event will run from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., urging supporters to turn up in large numbers and participate in the movement’s ongoing nationwide mobilisation efforts.

In a message shared online, the senator directly appealed to residents, referencing earlier remarks about their availability on Sundays and encouraging them to make time for the political gathering.

Before the rally, Sifuna and other leaders will attend a church service at Kivumbini PAG Church in Nakuru Town West Constituency, maintaining a trend of combining religious engagements with political outreach.

Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi has confirmed his attendance, indicating that the Nakuru stop will also focus on urging Kenyans to register as voters ahead of future elections.

Several high-profile नेताओं are expected, including Siaya Governor James Orengo, Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, Senator Richard Onyonka, Saboti MP Caleb Amisi, and Suba South MP Caroli Omondi.

Speaking in a past interview with Herman Manyora, Sifuna revealed that the Linda Mwananchi tours have largely been funded through public contributions.

He noted that supporters have donated money via the movement’s website, while others have volunteered logistics such as sound systems and campaign equipment to sustain the rallies.

Sifuna expressed appreciation for the support, insisting he would remain consistent in his political stance and would not align with leaders he has been openly opposing.

Following the Nakuru rally, the team plans to head to Kisumu as part of a broader countrywide tour aimed at consolidating support and expanding grassroots engagement.

The group has also dismissed fears after a recent attack involving Osotsi, maintaining that it will not be intimidated from accessing any region across the country.

Osotsi, now fully recovered, clarified that the incident involved isolated individuals and should not be used to generalise residents of Kisumu or undermine the region’s reputation.
