Fresh photos of Everose Obwaka, the widow of renowned Nairobi gynaecologist Dr. Job Obwaka, have been circulating online following his recent death, attracting public attention as the family continues to mourn.
Dr. Obwaka, who previously served as a director at a major Nairobi hospital, passed away on May 1, 2026. According to reports, he was pronounced dead on arrival at the same hospital where he had worked for many years.
His wife, Everose Obwaka, later confirmed the sad news through a social media statement issued on the evening of his death.
In her message, Everose explained that she was emotionally overwhelmed and unable to answer calls or respond to messages at the time. She requested prayers and support for her family as they faced the painful loss of their loved one.
The doctor’s passing has generated significant public interest due to his reputation in the medical field and the circumstances surrounding his final moments.
Earlier in March 2026, Everose had also drawn public attention during her husband’s legal challenges, speaking openly about the emotional strain the family experienced following his arrest.
Their son, Chris Obwaka, reportedly remained close to his father throughout the court proceedings and during his hospitalization.
Authorities are still investigating the events surrounding Dr. Obwaka’s death. Police reports indicate that a woman believed to have been with the doctor shortly before he collapsed in Kitengela has already recorded a statement with investigators.
According to the reports, the woman said she had known the doctor for several years and was present when his health suddenly deteriorated.
